My family loves The 649! The food is fabulous! The staff is super friendly! The atmosphere is very unique with card and board games. It’s a fun date spot. I dropped it one star for how loud it can get when super crowded. Its not always loud though just depends on the crowd that night and the food is worth it!

Steven P was so warm and friendly. Took our orders and then brought them out to us, and asked us if we needed anything else. The music was upbeat and pleasantly eclectic. The atmosphere was welcoming and chill. It was a wonderful way to end our daughter's birthday, including our game of exploding kittens that night.

I’ve been driving by this spot for two years and always wanted to stop by. So glad we finally did. This place is the epitome of a neighborhood hangout spot. It’s quiet and warm in the daytime and fun and alive in the evening. The food is not what you would expect from a “bar” (ie, not burgers and fries) I’ve had the hummus plate, the Cuban, and a rice bowl so far, all were delicious and light but hearty at the same time. The beer selection is really good, the cocktails are some of the best I’ve had in Portland, and all for an extremely reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and we always feel welcome.

My handsome husband and I absolutely ADORE this new find for us. I’ve lived in Aloha 20 years and this place is exactly what I want in a neighborhood hangout, but have never seen until tonight. First thing in the door we were greeted, welcomed, told about the menu and invited to sit wherever we liked! Talk about feeling welcomed and immediate hospitality! The atmosphere was also fantastic—subdued and relaxing with agreeable lighting. But the cocktails were ABSOLUTELY EPIC! We had our socks knocked off by the flavor and variety of the cocktails, and then the presentation was just so incredibly appealing to boot! Fresh herbs (rosemary) in one drink, dried herbs (lavender) in another made the drinks delicious AND visually stunning to behold. Prices were very reasonable, so we will be coming back again and again to sample absolutely everything! 10/10 and we’ll be singing the praises of The 649 to absolutely everybody we know!

Absolutely loved this place. I think we just might have to make this our neighborhood spot. The cocktails are on point and the food was very tasty. The service was wonderful. There was one guy behind the bar doing it all, but he was doing a spectacular job. There’s a cute little patio out back for the warm days. The prices were fair and not overly expensive. We can’t wait to be back again!

Great selection of beers and very nicely created cocktails. The food looks great and tastes great. What else are you looking for? The service is at the counter but very friendly. It's a cozy place to come hang out with friends or on a date.

The Tepache Milk Punch was one of the best cocktails I've ever had, and about half of the menu sounded just as good. Excited to come back and try some more options. Mac and cheese was also excellent.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. My salad was delicious and my cocktail was even better.
